Erling Haaland, the Norwegian striker and talented member of Manchester City, was recently seen driving a unique and rare car in Monaco. It was a Ferrari Monza SP2 with a roofless design that caught the attention of many as only 500 units were produced, each priced at a starting rate of $1.8 million.
The Monza SP2 is equipped with the same 6.5-liter V-12 engine found in the 812 Superfast, providing an impressive 798 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque. As a result, it can go from 0 to 62 mph in only 2.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 188 mph.
The distinctive car caught the eye of both soccer fans and sports car aficionados, who were excited to take pictures and videos of the 2022/23 Premier League winner driving alongside the extremely rare Ferrari.
Haaland has joined a special group of owners that includes soccer sensation Zlatan Ibrahimovich. Ferrari’s most loyal customers, collectors, and a chosen few fans were given the chance to add this coveted car to their collection.
The Monza SP2 pays homage to the vintage “barchetta” race cars of the 1940s and 1950s, including the 166 MM and the 750 and 860 Monza. Ferrari’s reputation for top-notch quality and speed lives on in this sleek and stylish vehicle, which is a must-have for any high-end car enthusiast.
